WHEFA Bond Financing Helps Grant Regional Health Center, Inc. Expand in Fennimore

and Construct, Equip and Refinance in Lancaster, Cassville and Potosi

Bonds Placed with Peoples State Bank

“Through WHEFA’s assistance, the new tax-exempt bonds allowed us to refinance existing debt at a lower cost and obtain additional funds that will allow us to expand the services that we are able to provide to the people we serve in southwest Wisconsin.”
 –   Joel Gehling, Chief Financial Officer
  Grant Regional Health Center

Rendering of the new clinic in Fennimore

Bond financing facilitated by WHEFA will be used to help Grant Regional Health Center finance capital purchases and software for electronic medical records as well as the acquisition, construction, renovation, remodeling and equipping of a new 8,000 square foot clinic in Fennimore, Wisconsin.  Bond proceeds were also used to refinance certain bonds previously issued by WHEFA in 2017.  This tax-exempt financing has enabled Grant Regional Health Center to operate more effectively by financing its capital expenses at a low interest rate.

WHEFA is proud to continue its mission of assisting all eligible Wisconsin nonprofit institutions to obtain and maintain access to tax-exempt financing in order to finance or refinance their capital improvement and expansion needs.
