WHEFA Bond Financing Helps St. Matthew’s Evangelical Lutheran Church Expand in Oconomowoc

Bonds Placed with Bank First Investments, Inc.

“This financing will provide a savings in interest costs for the borrower and enabling the school to almost double its enrollment capacity and allowing community residents on the current waiting list to enroll their children in the type of education they desire for their families. The project will also enable the re-purposing of the older campus for use with a community-based organization that needs building space at an attractive cost.”
– George M. Zaferos, Business Administrator
St. Matthew’s Evangelical Lutheran Church

St. Matthew’s employs 35 full-time equivalents in Wisconsin.

Bond financing facilitated by WHEFA will be used to help St. Matthew’s Evangelical Lutheran Church finance the construction and equipping of an approximately 32,000 square foot addition to its school.  This tax-exempt financing process has enabled St. Matthew’s Evangelical Lutheran Church to operate more effectively by financing its capital expenses at a low interest rate.

WHEFA is proud to continue its mission of assisting all eligible Wisconsin nonprofit institutions to obtain and maintain access to tax-exempt financing in order to finance or refinance their capital improvement and expansion needs.
