The usage of the WHEFA Financing Alternatives Program continues to grow in popularity. As of June 30, 2013, over 85 borrowers have utilized this process to obtain competitive financing proposals since the inception of this program in 1995.
The first step in this program is to determine eligibility by discussing your projects with WHEFA. Next, a borrower profile, including information on the borrower and its projects is completed. WHEFA will then distribute this package to several possible financing alternatives. All interested parties then submit their proposals to both the borrower and WHEFA. The borrower then chooses the financing plan it prefers by working off the proposals received and summaries provided by WHEFA. The result is a plan of finance which provides the best terms, lowest costs, and the assurance that comes from looking at several alternatives.
